As with all techniques I teach on this site, read through the instructions until you are sure you can follow them easily without having to continually stop to read them! This technique is particularly powerful when used in self hypnosis, so learn it first then use it in your self hypnosis practice.
Imagine that there is a slightly more confident version of yourself standing or sitting in front of you – as if you are looking at a mirror - a confidence mirror. Notice that person’s posture; notice how that person is standing or sitting; notice how that person looks; breathes; notice how people are talking to that version of you. Now imagine stepping forward into the confidence mirror and into that person - becoming that slightly more confident you. Imagine how that person feels; what that person sees; what that person hears.
Now see an even more confident you standing or sitting in front of you. Notice again how that more confident you sits or stands; notice how that more confident you behaves. Now step into that more confident you and see how people are talking to you. Hear what people are saying to that more confident version of you: “well done”; “congratulations”, and feel how good it feels being that more confident you.
Now see an even more confident you standing or sitting in front of you. See how comfortable that more confident self is; notice the expression on the face; notice how that more confident you behaves. Now step into that more confident you – see, hear and feel as that more confident you.
Continue to repeat these steps - seeing a more confident version of yourself, then stepping into that more confident version of yourself until you are overflowing with confidence and belief in yourself. As you continue to practice this process, using this technique regularly and repeatedly, you will find that any time you need to feel more confident, you can instantly feel more confident, and you can become aware of your own growing confidence.
